CITY OF WILDWOOD Cape May County, New Jersey RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR ACTUARIAL SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF WILDWOOD BEACH PATROL PENSION PLAN WHEREAS, the City of Wildwood (the City) has need for actuarial services with regards to its Beach Patrol Pension Plan Actuarial Valuation; and WHEREAS, RAE Group, LLC (hereinafter RAE) has submitted a proposal to the City outlining the scope of work necessary to perform the project, annexed hereto and incorporated by reference herein, in an amount not to exceed Twelve Thousand ($12,000.00) Dollars; and WHEREAS, the Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1)(a)(i), provides for the award of professional services without engaging in the bidding process to a person(s) authorized by law to practice a recognized profession; and WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the proposal and determined to award a professional services contract to RAE for the services outlined therein as a non-fair and open contract pursuant to Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1 et seq.; and WHEREAS, RAE has completed and submitted a Business Entity Disclosure Certification which certifies that said entity has not made any reportable contributions to a political or candidate committee in the City of Wildwood in the previous one year, and that the contract will prohibit it from making any reportable contributions for the term of the contract; and WHEREAS, the City CFO has certified as to the availability of funds. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Governing Body of the City of Wildwood, County of Cape May, State of New Jersey as follows: 1.That the provisions of the above preamble of this Resolution are hereby incorporated herein, by this reference, as if set forth at length. 2.That the City is hereby authorized to enter into a contract with RAE Group, LLC, 601 Dresher Road - Suite 201, Horsham, PA 19044 in an amount not to exceed Twelve Thousand ($12,000.00) Dollars for actuarial services in connection with the Beach Patrol Pension Plan Actuarial Valuation. 3.That the Business Disclosure Entity Certification, Determination of Value Certification, Political Contribution Disclosure Form and Stockholder Disclosure Certification referenced hereinabove be placed on file with this resolution. 4.That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute the contract on behalf of the City, and to take all other actions necessary to effectuate the purpose thereof. 5.That notice of this Resolution shall be published according to law.
