NOTICE OF PENDING ORDINANCE Notice is hereby given that the following ordinance was introduced at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest on June 11, 2025 and passed on first reading, and the same was then ordered to be published according to law; and that such ordinance will be further considered for final passage at a meeting of the Board of Commissioners to be held at the Borough Hall in said Borough on June 25, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. prevailing time, or as soon thereafter as possible, at which time and place all persons interested will be given an opportunity to be heard concerning such ordinance. BOROUGH OF WILDWOOD CREST COUNTY OF CAPE MAY STATE OF NEW JERSEY ORDINANCE NO. 1461 ORDINANCE OF THE BOROUGH OF WILDWOOD CREST AMENDING AND SUPPLEMENTING ARTICLE XIII OF CHAPTER 79 VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC, OF THE CODE OF THE BOROUGH OF WILDWOOD CREST TO REGULATE TRAFFIC SIGNALS WITHIN THE BOROUGH WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest has determined that it is necessary and proper for the protection of life, health and property, the preservation and enforcement of good government and the general welfare, order and security of the municipality, to update, amend and supplement Chapter 79 of the Code of the Borough of Wildwood Crest to regulate the use of traffic signals within the Borough. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of the Borough of Wildwood Crest, in the County of Cape May, New Jersey, as follows: Section 1.Ordinance Number 605 adopted April 16, 1985 and codified in the Code of the Borough of Wildwood Crest at Section 79-8.3 is hereby amended as follows: (added language is underlined, deleted language is stricken) Section 2.ARTICLE XIII, entitled Traffic Control Signals, of Chapter 79, of the Code of the Borough of Wildwood Crest, is hereby deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: ARTICLE XIII Traffic Control Signals 79-49. Traffic Control Signal A.All Traffic Control Signals shall be consistent with the current standards prescribed by the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:197(1)(e) as amend and supplemented. B.The following intersections shall be controlled by traffic control signals: Aster Road and Park Boulevard Cardinal Road and Atlantic Avenue Cardinal Road and Pacific Avenue Farragut Road and Atlantic Avenue Heather Road and Atlantic Avenue Heather Road and Seaview Avenue Rambler Road and Atlantic Avenue Rambler Road and Ocean Avenue Rambler Road and Seaview Avenue St. Louis Avenue and New Jersey Avenue 79-50. Reserved. 79-51. Reserved. Section 3.The remainder of all other sections and subsections of the aforementioned ordinance not specifically amended by this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4.All other ordinances in conflict with or inconsistent with this ordinance are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency. Section 5.If any portion of this ordinance is adjudged unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, such judgment shall not affect or invalidate the remainder of this ordinance, but shall be confined in its effect to the provision directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment shall have been rendered.
